Get downtown easily

Getting to downtown Bangkok isn’t as hard as you think. With easy access via highways and rail link, there are two easy ways to get downtown from the airport.

Taxi

From Suvarnabhumi or Don Muang Airport:

Bangkok has two international airport which are located at the different end of the city. Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) serves most of the airlines flying into Bangkok while Don Muang Airport (DMK) serves mostly low cost airlines. However with extensive highway system, you can reach downtown easily with Taxi. Taxi in Bangkok runs using a meter system, tolls charges are not included in the fare. Please note that whatever you have heard about Bangkok’s traffic, it is true. The traffic can get very bad so make sure you spare some time incase you need to make any connection.

Once you reach the airport, easily follow the taxi stand sign and grab one of the colorful Bangkok taxi for yourself.

Airport rail link

From Suvarnabhumi:

If you land at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), you can take the Airport Rail Link to get to downtown Bangkok and by-pass all the traffic. From Suvarnabhumi Airport you can take the ARL to Makkasan station to change to MRT Blue Line or to Phaya Thai station to change to BTS Green Line.

The BTS Green Line provides a more intensive reach to inner Bangkok while the MRT Blue Line can take you to Hua Lam Phong Central Station as well as China Town.
